10 Locks per Bundle

Your hair is a living archive.

Each strand records growth, resilience, and intention.

We craft human hair locs not as additions, but as extensions of energy, discipline, and identity.

They carry the integrity of pure material, the memory of skilled hands, and the quiet power of authentic expression.

To wear them is to honor your journey and declare who you are without explanation.

These are not fashion accessories.
They are extensions of you.

Made from premium 100% human hair, each loc is hand-rolled and sealed by artisans who understand the weight of identity. Single-ended and crochet-ready, they are designed to blend seamlessly with your existing locs from day one.

  • No synthetic shine
  • No fake texture
  • No compromise

Just pure material carrying the quiet strength of real hair, ready to mature, thicken, and lock with your own.

This is permanence you can feel.
This is locXtension. locked.

Our human hair loc extensions are crafted for seamless, permanent integration. Installation uses the crochet method only.
No glue. No heat. No damage.

Professional installation is strongly recommended for best results, especially for crochet method.

Important Notes Before Starting

  • Best done by a professional loctician experienced with human hair locs
  • Your natural hair should be at least 3–4 inches long for secure attachment (longer is ideal for blending)
  • Work on clean, dry, detangled hair
  • Tools needed: 0.5–1.0 mm crochet hook (1-prong or 3-prong), rat-tail comb, sectioning clips, mirror(s)
  • Time: 4–8+ hours depending on head size and density
  • Extensions mature with your own locs, handle gently in the first few weeks

Method 1: Single-Ended Extensions (Recommended)

  1. Section Your Hair
Part your hair into small, even sections matching your locXtension thickness. Start from the nape and work upward.
  2. Prepare the Extension
Gently open the sealed base slightly with fingers or a comb to create a small pocket.
  3. Position and Insert
Place the base at the root and push a small portion of natural hair into the opened base.
  4. Crochet to Secure
Pull natural hair through the extension base repeatedly until fully interlocked and flush with the scalp. Crochet downward 2–4 inches for extra security and blend.
    • Keep tension even to avoid bumps
    • Hook should face you, push and pull gently to prevent breakage
  5. Blend and Finish
Palm-roll the joined area to smooth. Crochet any loose hairs back in. Style as desired.

Method 2: Double-Ended Extensions (Optional)

  1. Section Your Hair into even sections aligned with your desired thickness
  2. Fold and Position the extension at midpoint and place the fold at the root
  3. Secure the Fold by crocheting natural hair through both halves
  4. Crochet Downward along both sides for balance and natural hang
  5. Blend and Finish by palm-rolling and crocheting flyaways

locXtension locs are built for permanence. Removal is possible, but it requires patience and gentle technique to preserve your natural hair and, in many cases, reuse the extensions.

Strongly recommended: Have a professional loctician handle removal. DIY risks breakage if not done carefully.

Important Notes Before Starting

  • Work on clean, conditioned, detangled hair
  • Apply light leave-in conditioner or oil for slip
  • Tools needed: 0.5–1.0 mm crochet hook, rat-tail comb or metal pick, sectioning clips, mirror(s)
  • Scissors only for trimming flyaways, never cut the loc unless discarding
  • Time: 4–10+ hours depending on density and how long they have been installed
  • Goal is to undo the crochet joins without forcing

Step-by-Step Removal Process

  1. Prepare and Section
Start at the nape. Section into manageable parts and identify each join point.
  2. Locate the Join
Feel where your natural loc ends and the extension begins, commonly 2–4 inches of tight interlocking from the root. For double-ended, locate the folded midpoint first.
  3. Reverse the Crochet
Insert the crochet hook into the join and gently pull interlocked strands back out. Work slowly in small sections, releasing the interlock step by step.
    • Work 1/8–1/4 inch at a time
    • Pull in the opposite direction of installation
    • Do not yank, tease knots gently
  4. Comb Out Remaining Interlocks
Use a rat-tail comb or pick to loosen any remaining wrapped strands. Apply more conditioner if needed.
  5. Detach and Clean
Slide the extension off once fully separated. Wash extensions separately if reusing.
  6. Care for Natural Hair
Deep condition after removal. Avoid heavy styling for 1–2 weeks.

Warnings and Tips

  • Never cut the extension unless discarding it
  • If extensions have matured heavily (for example 1+ years), removal takes longer
  • Breakage happens from force, not the extensions themselves
  • Store cleaned, dry locs in a breathable bag for reuse

Your locXtension extensions are permanent extensions of your archive. Proper aftercare preserves integrity, prevents buildup, and supports natural fusion over time.

Key Principles

  • Minimal intervention: Strength comes from discipline, not excess
  • Residue-free only: Avoid heavy products, waxes, gels, and buildup
  • Gentle handling: Respect join points, especially in the first 3–6 months
  • Consistency: Daily moisture, regular cleansing, periodic maintenance

Daily Routine

  1. Moisturize Scalp and Locs
Apply light natural oil (jojoba, argan, MCT or fractionated coconut, or vitamin E). Run down each loc gently. For dry days, mist with rose water, aloe vera, or plain water first, then oil.
  2. Separate Roots
Finger-separate at the roots to prevent merging or matting.
  3. Protect at Night
Use a bonnet or satin scarf to reduce lint and friction. Never sleep on wet locs.

Weekly or Monthly Routine

  1. Wash (1–2 times per week)
Use residue-free, clarifying dreadlock shampoo. Massage scalp gently, rinse thoroughly, squeeze water out, and air dry fully. First wash is typically after 2–4 weeks post-install.
  2. Palm Roll (When Damp)
Palm-roll each loc to smooth and encourage even locking, especially in the first 6 months.
  3. Retwist and Maintenance
Professional retwist recommended at 3–4 weeks, then every 2–4 weeks during early months. Avoid heavy products.

Additional Tips

  • Avoid heavy manipulation, excessive heat, or pulling on joins
  • If swimming in chlorinated or salty water, rinse immediately after
  • Massage scalp during oiling to stimulate circulation
  • Expect natural thickening and blending over time
